ABOUT L.I.F.E
Our L.I.F.E Story
L.I.F.E (Living In A Functional Environment), was established in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. As families became hesitant to have strangers enter their homes, they requested that L.I.F.E provide in-home sessions. In response, L.I.F.E expanded its services to include in-home sessions and parent training. Each child receives a tailored behavior plan to meet their unique needs.
Recognizing that every child is different and learns at their own pace, L.I.F.E aims to help children become socially significant members of their community. L.I.F.E believes in equipping children with functional skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. By providing tailored treatment plans, L.I.F.E focuses on teaching children adaptive skills and helping them learn new things, thereby enhancing their ability to function independently.
L.I.F.E operates on the principle that a diagnosis does not equate to limitations. Instead, it believes that children can learn in different ways and live functionally within their environment and society. L.I.F.E also offers parent training, understanding that change is most effective when everyone involved makes small adjustments. Parent training sessions are conducted both in person and via Zoom, with meetings held weekly or biweekly. L.I.F.E is committed to making parents feel comfortable with new changes and to integrating effective strategies into their lifestyles.
L.I.F.E is dedicated to making positive changes and providing ongoing support. Its mission is to create a fun and supportive space where children with disabilities can learn, grow, and play with others. By increasing their communication, socialization, and life skills through positive reinforcement, L.I.F.E helps children reach their full potential.
